Weapon: Uses a whip as an every day weapon, but she knows how to fire a bow

Appearance: Ishayla is tall (~5’ 10”) and seductively built (~140-5 ish lbs), with curves aplenty and well-muscled legs that are well suited to dancing. Her hip-length pink hair is thick and is often down up in a loose ponytail and secured by a ribbon. Her face is a study in soft subtlety, save for her eyes, which are a pale-gray blue, striking and attention-grabbing. She enjoys reminding men where her face is, as her body is unfortunately much more striking than her other features. Pale from birth-- living for so long in the sunless city of Comodo did not help this—Ishayla sunburns quickly and painfully. She prefers to wear quiet makeup and mildly-colored outfits, much preferring to draw attention to herself in other ways.(PB: Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena.)

Background: Ishayla was born to a family of, for lack of better terms, “Schwarzwald Hippies” in Alde Baran. Her parents had a steady income, and they took good care of her. There was never a lack for food or love in Ishayla’s home. When she was still very young, they moved temporarily to Payon. Always a shy and introverted child, she took comfort in nature and music, both things that connected deeply with her soul. She began basic dance training and became familiar with a bow while visiting Payon. When she was 12, her parents surprised her by sending her to the Comodo academy of music, where she continued to train, while they cut their trip short and returned to Alde Baran. Her eagerness to please her superiors and the ferocity with which she studied turned her into a well-learned, devoted dancer. After graduation, left Comodo for a few years. Unable to find a place to call her own, she returned to work in a respectable club to continue practicing. As a young woman out on her own, she had several undesirable encounters on the “bad” side of town. As a result, while she is knowledgeable about the seedy underbelly of Comodo, she always makes an effort to avoid it.

Personality: Luckily, most of Ishayla’s initial shyness has been eliminated by her training. By studying as a performer, she has been able to leave her shell behind, in ways she never could if she had remained at home. Dancing fills a part of her that desires constant attention. She is finally able to reveal herself as the kind, loving person she has always been, without her self-consciousness limiting her. She is outgoing, playful, and often teasing—especially on the stage, but beneath it all there lies a gentle air. It is still hard for her to make relationships (some of the introverted child still remains), but once she does, she is devoted to them fully. She is a loyal friend and a faithful lover. Ishayla has never betrayed or intentionally hurt a friend—it is possible that the thought has never even crossed her mind. Most dancers are somewhat vain, and Ishayla is no exception. She is nowhere near naïve—it is impossible to be naïve in Comodo—and she understands that her profession is one where beauty and youth are necessity. Ishayla is aware of her own impending age, and is utterly terrified of the day when it begins to limit her and she will lose the thing she loves most. Her ruthless desire to appear young and her need for attention occasionally cause her to act out just to be noticed.

Other: Having lived sheltered from most of Rune Midgard for most of her life, Ishayla is not quite up to date on the morals of the outside society. She is not intentionally blunt, but it may come off that way to more uptight citizens.
